The rollout of 5G telecommunication services in Malaysia has been fraught with controversy. Ericsson and Digital Nasional Berhad (DNB) have agreed to a 10-year cooperation to build a statewide 5G wholesale network for Malaysia. Ericsson will supply end-to-end 5G services, including core, RAN, and transport, as well as operations and business support systems (OSS/BSS) and managed services. DNB is certain that it will reach 500 5G-enabled facilities this year. The network is expected to have 10,167 locations when 5G coverage reaches more than 90% of the country.
